To reduce environmental impact and create a recycling-oriented society,
we aim to be a corporate citizen that is friendly to people and the earth.
We at WHG Hotels ( Washington Hotel, Hotel Gracery, Hotel Tabinos, and Hotel Fujita) have, since our founding, operated under the corporate philosophy: “We aim to contribute to the realization of a vibrant and prosperous society by providing a wholesome place of relaxation and warm service.” In line with this philosophy, we have recognized “environmental initiatives” and “efforts to embrace diverse values” as essential and vital to our sustainable growth as a company, and have actively pursued them.

Reduced use of plastic products in room amenities
Amenity Bar
We have set up an amenity bar in the lobby where guests can take only the disposable amenities they need for use in their rooms.
Coffee
WHG Hotels supports the United Nations World Food Programme’s (WFP) mission to end hunger and poverty and is participating in CampaignCampaign ” through its WHG Original Coffee.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this product will be donated to underprivileged children suffering from hunger.
Installation of water servers to reduce plastic waste
As part of our efforts to reduce plastic waste, we have discontinued the plastic bottled mineral water previously provided as a complimentary service in guest rooms and have installed water purifiers throughout the hotel.
Elimination of plastic straws
As part of our efforts to address the global problem of marine pollution, we have switched from plastic straws to paper or biodegradable plastic straws.
Promoting "eco-cleaning
In order to protect the global environment, with the understanding and cooperation of our guests, we offer "eco-cleaning" of guest rooms for consecutive nights. By reducing the amount of energy used for cleaning, we will work together with our guests to reduce CO2 emissions. Full cleaning service is also available upon request.

Reduction of food loss in breakfast buffet dishes
Food waste—the problem of perfectly edible food being thrown away. To address this issue, we are implementing the following measures:
Thirty minutes before closing time, we transfer some of our dishes into smaller serving dishes. We restock these dishes as needed, depending on the number of customers.
LED / Power Saving
We have installed LED lights in all guest rooms and are actively saving electricity in the backyard, thereby contributing to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions.
Universal Room
The entire building, from the entrance to the rooms, is flat and barrier-free. In addition, universal rooms are available, service dogs are accepted in the building, and wheelchairs are available for rent.
What Are SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)?
Adopted at the UN Summit in September 2015, it is an international goal to be achieved by 2030 and consists of 17 goals and 169 targets to eradicate poverty and realize a sustainable society. All stakeholders, including companies, governments, and NPOs, are expected to work together to implement this plan.
